NONE OF THE PANDAVAS WERE PANDAVAS

Pandu, Dhritarashtra and Vidura were all fathered by Srila Vyasadeva himself. Evidently a brother could conceive a child in the womb of his brother's wife if the brother was unable to.
So in that sense the bloodline of the Kurus was still intact up to that point.
But none of the Pandavas were "Pandavas."
They were all fathered by demigods. Duryodhana was the one who was actually of the pure bloodline from Kuru.
Yudhisthira mentions how Duryodhana is ruling so nicely.
The citizens are all happy under his reign.
Duryodhana respects the brahmanas and is keeping the kingdom in good order. So Yudhisthira questions himself, what is the need to fight a war to take the kingdom?
From this it can be seen that Duryodhana is not a demon.
