DON'T TALK ABOUT KRISHNA

Okay. I watched a live stream Bhagavatam class, broadcast from LA temple. It started out good. Interesting, lots of scientific details on how and why the brain does what it does. Then the sannyasi speaker spoke about higher and lower functions of thought and the meaning and purpose of religion. Which rapidly degraded into sheer duplicity and arrogance and the usual pep talk for "go get 'em."
At one point in his lecture he actually says not to talk about Krishna but to do something practical. He cites one Gaur purnima where Srila Prabhupada evidently did not talk about Krishna or Lord Chaitanya and simply lectured 2nd chapter BG, 2.14 "dehino smin yatha dehe" He uses this as the standard. This is this sannyasi's message. "Don't talk about Krishna. Do something practical." and then he recounts a simple brahmacari who distributed books until he died (at an early age.) Be like that brahmacari. Distribute until you die. But don't talk about Krishna and evidently don't read the books either. Just sell books until you drop. This is the kind of "preaching" that has gone on for years. Don't talk about Krishna. It's a waste of time. Do something. Collect money. Sell books. The only ones who are allowed to do any talking are these hypocrites. This is the hypocrisy. Talking about Krishna is doing something !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best thing anyone can do!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the Bhagavatam class.
