STRONG BONDS

How is it that there are such strong bonds between jiva souls in the material world? Mother and father, children, lovers etc. all based on the body which is temporary and illusory? How can these things seem so real and substantial when in fact they are not. How can we become so completely caught up in the temporary relationships that end when the material body ends?
On the other hand, someone may argue that to relate to God as friend or child or parent or lover, etc. is also illusory. No one can become the parents of God, who is unborn and eternal.
Here in this paragraph of Krishna Book it is explained. Yes, they are both illusory. But that gives me hope. For if I can see how strong and apparently real the relationships are based on the material body under His power of mahamaya then hearing this I can understand the relationships developed with the Supreme Being under His power of yogamaya would have to be at least as strong and I have a sneaky suspicion they are actually much much stronger.
"When Lord Krishna saw that Vasudeva and Devaki were remaining
standing in a reverential attitude, He immediately expanded His influence of yogamaya so that they could treat Him and Balarama as children. As in the material world the relationship existing between father and mother and children can be established amongst different living entities by the influence of the illusory energy, so, by the influence of yogamaya, the devotee can establish a relationship in which the Supreme Personality of Godhead is his child."
