When Arjuna tells Krishna he would rather go to the forest
than fight, he is not just speaking off the top of his head.
He means it.
After all he grew up in the forest during his father's penance.
And later he lived in the forest for twelve years
after the gambling match.
Why not just go back to the forest?
He doesn't need a kingdom to be happy.
He is familiar with forest life.
