I went to Al-Anon and AA meeting for a while. There are no alcoholics in my family and I do not drink and never have. But these groups deal with codependency (Alanon) and addiction (AA). I learned a lot. I am very grateful to the people who were at the meetings as they graciously welcomed me and were more than happy to share whatever they had if it somehow or other would help me become happy.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
I think many ISKCON devotees who are feeling unhappy would do well to try to understand these things.
