Oh boy. What fun.
The gold crown.
The dentist removed an old gold crown.
I wanted it. I paid for it years ago. It belonged to me.
After the dental session was through I asked for it.
The assistant told me it was considered a bio-hazard
and she would have to ask the dentist
Who was not in the office.
I left
A bio-hazard. Gold. Probably 1/10th of an ounce.
These gold crown scraps are worth anywhere from $50 to $100
I realized he has a little scrap gold business going on the side.
When he has enough of them he sends them off to the refiner.
2 or 3 a week? get 20 of them and maybe an extra $1500 coming in.
So he was attached to my gold crown.
It was easier to remove it from mouth
than it was for me to get it back from him.
I called the next morning.
The assistant answered the phone.
"Oh, I forgot to ask. I'll ask and call you back."
(Sometime next year)
Maybe I would forget or die or something.
I wasn't going to call again.
Should I go there?
I'm really obnoxious. Being a pest.
What do I care about gold?
I'm spiritual.
But they are taking something that doesn't belong to them.
How can I just let them do like that?
I'm going.
If things get really rotten
He is not the only dentist in the world.
I drove there.
Surprise..
"I Just happened to be in the area
and decided to drop in to pick up the crown."
Shock. Deer in the headlights.
Whispers.
Some discussion in the hallway.
and there it was.
all packaged up and ready to be shipped somewhere.
I apologized for taking it.
"I guess I just got attached to it.
Now I'm rich... GOLD...."
They are doing this with the patients.
It felt like they were in the business of selling
illegal body parts or something.
The atmosphere was theft and dishonesty.
Gold is like that.
Kali has found shelter in the hoarding of gold.
