"I am surprised that You imitate the activities of
ordinary human beings just to please Your devotee." KB 1.3
Devaki is praying like this to Lord Krishna at the time of His birth.
Krishna appears and plays a part, husband, friend, master, lover... just to please the devotee. He is attracted by pure devotion. For Himself He is self-satisfied and has no need to find anyone else. He is perfect and complete, there is nothing missing. He is everything.

Again in the description of Krishna's dealings with His 16,108 queens, He appears for the pleasure of the devotee:
"All the 16,108 wives of Krishna were princesses, and when each saw that Krishna was always present in her respective palace and did not leave home, they considered Krishna to be a henpecked husband who was very much attached to them. Every one of them thought that Krishna was her very obedient husband, but actually Krishna had no attraction for any of them. Although each thought that she was the only wife of Krishna and was very, very dear to Him, Lord Krishna, since He is atmarama, self-sufficient, was neither dear nor inimical to any one of them; He was equal to all the wives and treated them as a perfect husband just to please them. For Him, there was no need for even a single wife. In fact, since they were women, the wives could not understand the exalted position of Krishna nor the truths about Him." KB 2.6
He treated them as their perfect husband just to please them. As for Himself He personally had no need for even one wife. But they could not understand this about Krishna and were convinced He was attached to them for their beauty and charms.
