LOVE OF GOD IS TESTED

Late at night a disturbance comes.
Love of God is tested by sex desire.
The dialogue begins while half asleep and half awake.
The false divide between austerity and indulgence rears its ugly head and a battle begins.
The one side argues indulgence is forbidden, it is against pure love of God and binds one to the material body.
The other side argues sex desires are natural and to back the position up even further goes on to claim sex enjoyment is somehow an expression of love of God.
Neither side convinces the other and the battle rages.
Then a cricket is heard, loudly chirping. Such loud chirping I've never heard before. The chirping becomes a vortex of sound. The Maha Mantra. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare/ Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare.
The arguing stops and I fall back peacefully to rest.
