WILD RIDE

The three modes of material nature control everything in the material world. They are literally "the three modes of material energy." They are everywhere and in everything. Everything has a beginning, middle and end. Everything is created, maintained and then destroyed. The three modes are identified as passion, goodness and ignorance. 

Lord Sri Krishna expands to manage the modes. He expands as Lord Brahma to manage the mode of passion, He expands as Himself Lord Vishnu to manage the mode of goodness and from Lord Brahma there is another expansion Lord Siva to manage the mode of ignorance.

In a broad perspective to include seasons like summer, winter, spring and fall and in the birth, death, old age and disease of a life span of our own body it is a great illusion.. A great magic show of, "Now you see it, now you don't" absolutely everywhere you look. On the subtle plane the modes are there... knowledge, remembrance and forgetfulness. 

This makes for a very wild ride for those engaged in trying to master the material energy. They are constantly faced with creation, maintenance and destruction in absolutely every aspect of their experience. A very wild ride indeed.
